Reverse description The silver-colored inner disc presents a detailed architectural and maritime scene associated with the port city of Veracruz: a colonial-era lighthouse or tower structure with arched arcades occupies the left portion of the field, while a period sailing vessel (galleon) appears to the right, evoking the historic significance of the port. An oval security feature with fine vertical lines is visible in the upper central field of the disc, with the engraver's reference code 300 RUZC-RAVE inscribed above it. The mint mark Mo appears on the right side of the outer ring. The outer ring carries the repeating legend PRUEBA SIN VALOR (test, no value) around the full circumference, with the serial number 000 appearing inverted at the base of the outer ring.

Additional information

Pattern issues from the Casa de Moneda de México are produced in extremely limited numbers for internal evaluation and collector presentation — rarely exceeding a few dozen strikes — and are almost never released through official commercial channels. The Veracruz designation likely ties this piece to the mint's ongoing regional commemorative program, though patterns in this series are typically struck before legislative authorization for a public issue is confirmed, meaning many never progress to circulation.
