A circular vignette at left contains a left-facing allegorical Liberty head with a feathered headdress and the inscription LIBERTAD, while the Dominican Coat of Arms within an ornate frame occupies the right, inscribed DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD and REPUBLICA DOMINICANA.
