Obverse description The obverse is laid out in a letterpress-printed format with large numeral 20 corner vignettes and an oval portrait of President Manuel Quezon at left center. A central text panel reads TWENTY PESOS within a decorative frame, below which an inscription states the note is payable to the bearer on demand in lawful currency of the Philippines. Three facsimile signatures of board members appear along the lower margin, accompanied by their respective titles, with a circular red official stamp at right.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in a single dark ink with large numeral 20 vignettes at each corner and a central ornamental frame enclosing the Roman numeral XX above the inscription TWENTY PESOS. The upper portion carries the issuing authority text and place of issue, while a repeated underprint watermark pattern reading CURRENCY BOARD covers the entire field as a security measure.
