Obverse description	Black intaglio engraving on white paper with a large central guilloche medallion bearing the numeral 20, flanked by fine lathe-work borders and repeated denomination numerals along the margins. To the right, a classical allegorical vignette engraved in fine detail shows two female figures in flowing robes, one seated and one standing, with a small denomination panel below. The bank title EL BANCO DE LA REPÚBLICA MEXICANA arches diagonally across the upper portion, with SERIES DE 1918 inscribed at centre-left and centre-right, and SPECIMEN overprinted twice in red across the lower section with cancellation punch holes.
