Reverse description The standing figure of Britannia, helmeted and draped in classical robes, is shown in three-quarter view against a bold globular grid motif suggesting a world globe, symbolising Britain's maritime reach. She holds a tall trident in her right hand and rests her left hand upon a rounded shield, while a recumbent lion crouches at her feet to the lower left. The legend BRITANNIA 999 arcs along the left field and 1/10 oz FINE SILVER along the right, with the date 2014 inscribed in the lower exergue and the engraver's initials JC at lower right. The design is attributed to Jody Clark.
