Obverse description Central field features the Arms of Guernsey, depicting a shield charged with three golden lions passant guardant arranged vertically on a red field, each separated by a double horizontal bar, with a small sprig of leaves surmounting the top of the shield. The shield is enclosed within a circular inner border. The Latin legend S'BALLIVIE INSVLE DE GERNEREVE runs along the outer periphery, referencing the Bailiwick of the Island of Guernsey. The design is rendered in high relief with fine heraldic detail consistent with the traditional seal of the Bailiwick.
