| Reverse description | Hammered reverse bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription filling the entire field within a beaded inner border. The legend is arranged in bold horizontal registers and reads 'Sultan of the Two Lands and Khagan of the Two Seas, the Sultan, son of the Sultan', accompanied by the regnal year indicator '25' denoting the accession year numeral as used on Ottoman provincial issues. The calligraphy is dense and characteristic of Ottoman hammered coinage of the period. The irregular flan and beaded border are consistent with provincial mint production at Tripoli West. |
