| Obverse description | The national emblem of India, the Lion Capital of Ashoka, is depicted at center, showing three lions atop the Dharma Chakra abacus with the motto 'Satyameva Jayate' (Truth Alone Triumphs) inscribed in Devanagari script beneath it. The country name appears in a circular legend around the upper field, reading 'भारत' (Bharat) to the left and 'INDIA' to the right in Latin script. The denomination '20' is prominently displayed in the lower center of the field, flanked by 'पैसे' (Paise) in Devanagari to the left and 'PAISE' in Latin script to the right. The design is contained within the six-sided hexagonal flan with a plain edge. |
