| Reverse description | Central field bears the royal arms of Afghanistan: a stylised mosque with minaret flanked by two national flags on staffs, all set within a pointed oval frame radiating a sunburst border. Two crossed cannons appear beneath the central device, a traditional element of Afghan heraldry of the period. The denomination legend 'عباسي' (Abbasi) is inscribed in bold Nastaliq script above the central emblem. Eight stars of alternating size are evenly spaced around the periphery of the field, mirroring the decorative arrangement of the obverse. The design is contained within a plain raised rim. |
