| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justin I facing right, rendered in the late antique Byzantine style typical of early sixth-century coinage. The imperial diadem is visible atop the head, and the cuirass with paludamentum draped over the left shoulder conveys martial authority. The obverse legend encircles the effigy in Latin characters. The flan is irregular, as characteristic of hammered Byzantine bronze issues of this period. |
