| Obverse description | Within an octagonal inner frame set against a mirror-polished field, the traditional Peruvian coat of arms is depicted as a seated female allegory holding a staff aloft in her right hand, accompanied by a llama and a cinchona tree — the emblematic elements of the Peruvian arms.
