| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing portrait bust of King Ludwig III of Bavaria, rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail including a full beard and short hair. The effigy occupies the central field, with the circumscribed legend reading LUDWIG·III·KOENIG·VON·BAYERN around the upper periphery. The mint mark D appears at the lower portion of the legend, near the coin's base. A fine beaded border frames the entire design. |
