Reverse description Large crowned imperial eagle displayed with wings spread, facing left, bearing on its breast an ornate quartered shield of the German Empire, the whole flanked by decorative foliage sprigs at the lower sides. The denomination '20 M.' appears in the lower field below the eagle's talons, with the date '1872' beneath it.
