| Obverse description | Plain cream ground with a dot-matrix guilloche underprint in yellow-ochre, centred on the large denomination numeral '20' in each corner and the bold Gothic-script legend 'Zwanzig Mark' across the centre. The issuing text below names the Oberamtspflege zu Ravensburg as payer, with the place and date 'Ravensburg, den 1. November 1918' and the authority of the Bezirksrat des Oberamtsbezirks Ravensburg, followed by a manuscript signature. A repeating '20 MARK' typeset border frames the note on all four sides, and a large blue 'UNGÜLTIG' cancellation handstamp is applied diagonally across the face. |

Denomination roundels bearing '20' appear at the upper-left, upper-right, and lower-centre positions within the design. The legends 'Kriegsgeld' and 'Ravensburg' are set in Gothic type at the upper-left and upper-right corners respectively, the serial number appears at lower left, and a counterfeiting-warning text is printed at lower right; a blue 'UNGÜLTIG' cancellation handstamp is applied diagonally across the reverse. |
