Obverse description Printed in brown on cream paper with a repeating circular rosette underprint, the note is framed by a scalloped guilloche border. The city arms of Bunzlau — a fortified tower and gate motif — appear as a vignette at the top centre, flanked on either side by the validity inscription in Fraktur script. The denomination 'Zwanzig Mark' is set in large ornate Gothic lettering at centre, below which a three-line redemption text and the date 'Bunzlau, den 11. November 1918' appear, with the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' and two facsimile signatures at lower right.
