Obverse description Conjoined busts of the King and Queen facing right, the female effigy adorned with an elaborate floral headdress and pearl necklace, the male figure draped, set against a plain field. A rectangular countermark bearing the numeral '20' above a small crowned eagle is applied to the lower portion of the busts, representing the Martinique revaluation stamp applied between 1802 and 1809. A circular legend in Latin runs along the periphery of the host coin.

Reverse description A crowned ornate heraldic shield, elaborately quartered, set within richly decorated baroque scrollwork and foliate cartouche occupying the central field. The crown above the shield is of royal form with floral and foliate embellishments. The composition is rendered in high relief in the baroque style typical of late 18th-century Spanish colonial coinage, with a circular legend partially visible along the outer rim.
