| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of King Victor Emmanuel III facing right, wearing a military steel helmet (Adrian helmet), with a mustache and military collar visible. The legend VITT·EM·III·RE· arcs along the upper left rim. The engraver's signature G. ROMAGNOLI and the name A. MOTTI INC. appear vertically along the right field near the truncation. A small star is placed at the lower left of the field. The portrait is rendered in high relief with strong, naturalistic modeling characteristic of early 20th-century Italian medallic art. |
