| Reverse description | Standing full-length figure of Caritas, a draped allegorical female personification of Christian Charity, facing slightly left, cradling an infant in her left arm while a small child clings to her right side and another kneels at her feet. The date 1957 appears to the left of the figure and the denomination L·20 to the right. The inscription CITTA DEL VATICANO arcs around the upper periphery, the word CARITAS is inscribed along the lower exergue, and the notations PROVA and Ag.986 appear in small text at the lower left and right respectively, identifying this piece as a silver proof pattern. |
