| Obverse description | Three upright ostrich feathers, the heraldic emblem of San Marino, rise prominently from a stylized battlemented parapet in the center of the field. A mural crown surmounts the feathers at the top. Below the parapet, the denomination appears in a rectangular cartouche as 'L. 20', flanked by decorative scrollwork. The engraver's signature 'E. SAROLDI' is incised below the parapet. The circumferential legend 'REPVBBLICA DI S. MARINO' runs along the outer border, framed by a beaded rim, with the Rome mint mark 'R' positioned at the base. |

| Reverse description | A bearded male figure, depicted in high relief in a frontal pose with head tilted slightly upward, holds in both hands a detailed model of the three towers of San Marino atop Monte Titano, complete with crenellated battlements and pennants. The figure's right hand is raised in a gesture of benediction, evoking the image of Saint Marinus, the republic's patron. The circumferential legend 'SALVAM . FAC . REMPVBLICA . TVAM' encircles the field, and the date '1938' appears at the base between two small decorative rosettes, all framed by a beaded rim. |
