Obverse description A detailed relief reproduction of an ancient marble frieze from Aphrodisias occupies the lower right portion of the field, depicting a row of classical carved heads in profile facing left, rendered in high sculptural relief. A diagonal dividing line separates the frieze from the upper left field, which bears the crescent and star emblem of Turkey. The circular legend along the upper rim reads 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' and 'REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE', with the denomination '20 Türk Lirası' inscribed in the mid-field. The date '2024' appears in the lower exergue, and a small mint mark is visible in the upper right field.

Reverse description The reverse depicts a highly detailed frontal view of the Tetrapylon, the monumental ceremonial gateway of the ancient city of Aphrodisias in present-day Aydın Province, Turkey. The structure is shown with its characteristic four rows of columns, elaborate pediments with broken segmental and triangular forms, richly decorated entablatures, and arched passageways, all rendered in fine engraved relief. The partially restored ruins convey the grandeur of this 2nd-century Roman monument. The legend 'AFRODİSİAS' is inscribed in the upper field above the structure.
