The "Turinge" designation identifies this as part of Sweden's parish series, a numismatic program launched by the Swedish Savings Banks Association in the 1980s to document historical rural parishes before rapid modernization erased their architectural and agricultural character. Turinge parish, in Södermanland, was among the hundreds of communities documented through this initiative.
