Comments

The P#61 series was a short-lived design cycle — the 20 Kronor note in this format was retired relatively quickly as Sweden moved toward updated security standards during the mid-1990s, and the watermark-only specification looks thin by the threat environment of that decade. Staffan Burenstam Linder, whose signature appears on the 1994 and 1995 dates, died in office in April 1995, making late-dated examples from that year among the last signed under his name before Urban Bäckström assumed the governorship alone.
