| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Margrethe II, depicted as a truncated bust with hair elaborately styled and adorned with a jewelled crown. The portrait, engraved by J. Petersen after a design by Lise Gjedssø Bertelsen, is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the crown and drapery of the neckline. The circular legend reads MARGRETHE II DANMARKS DRONNING, with the date and mint marks positioned in the lower field beneath the bust. The initials LG, JP, and the mint mark A appear flanking the date. |
