Obverse description Laureate draped bust of Joseph II facing right, with a lion-head pauldron at the shoulder, set within a wreath border. The mintmark appears beneath the bust. The encircling Latin legend commences at approximately one o'clock and reads clockwise around the field, identifying the emperor in his full imperial and royal titulature. The portrait is rendered in the refined neo-classical style characteristic of late 18th-century Habsburg coinage.
