| Obverse description | Laureate and bearded bust of Emperor Francis Joseph I facing right, with finely engraved hair and side-whiskers rendered in high relief. The effigy, modelled by Josef Tautenhayn, displays the emperor in a classical style with a laurel wreath bound at the back. A Hungarian royal title legend in Latin script encircles the portrait, reading from lower left to lower right, interrupted at the base by the mint mark GY.F. The entire design is framed by a beaded border. |

| Reverse description | The Holy Crown of Saint Stephen, depicted in elaborate detail with pendant chains and a cross surmounting the arched top, occupies the upper portion of the field. Below the crown, the denomination numeral 20 is prominently struck, followed by KRAJCZÁR in large capital letters and the date 1869 beneath. A symmetrical laurel branch wreath curves upward from each side of the lower field, flanking the denomination and date. The circular Latin legend MAGYAR KIRÁLYI VÁLTÓ PÉNZ runs along the upper periphery, all contained within a beaded border. |
