Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand I facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair bound by a laurel wreath. The emperor's portrait is presented in the neoclassical style typical of early 19th-century Austrian coinage. The circular legend reads FERDINANDVS I. D.G. AVST. IMPERATOR. running from lower left to lower right around the periphery. The mint mark C appears in the lower field beneath the truncation, denoting the Prague Mint.
