| Obverse description | Central device features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread upward, each head surmounted by a small crown and the whole topped by a single large Imperial crown bearing a cross finial. The eagle holds a sceptre in its right talon and an orb surmounted by a cross in its left talon. On the breast of the eagle is a shield depicting the mounted figure of St. George slaying the dragon. The date appears in the lower field beneath the eagle's body. |
