| Obverse description | The State Coat of Arms of the Soviet Union rendered in bold relief, depicting a globe surmounted by a hammer and sickle within a wreath of wheat ears bound by 16 ribbons arranged in groups of 8, 1, and 7, representing the sixteen constituent Soviet republics.
