Comments

Texing is a village in Lower Austria with a population that barely reached four figures in 1920, which makes its decision to issue locally printed Notgeld notable in itself. The postwar coin shortage drove even the smallest Austrian municipalities to commission emergency paper, and the Radinger print shop in nearby Scheibbs served several communities in the region during this period.

The PR1064a designation in the Jaksch catalog groups the Texing issues by denomination; the 20 Heller sits at the lower end of the municipality's emission.
