| Reverse description | Printed in dark blue on cream paper, the reverse is arranged in an Art Nouveau-influenced geometric layout with a central cartouche bearing the motto 'Krieg und Not / Es uns gebot,' flanked by hourglass-shaped ornamental panels and the numeral '20' at each lateral margin. A lengthy German text block below records the municipal council resolution of 5 May 1920 authorizing the issue of 50,000 Kronen in notgeld vouchers to address the small-change shortage, concluding with the dateline 'St. Johann am Wimberg, am 5. Mai 1920,' the mayor's signature line, and the anti-counterfeiting warning 'Die Nachmachung dieses Scheines wird gesetzlich bestraft.' |
| Reverse lettering | Krieg und Not Es uns gebot. Zur Linderung der Kleingeldnot gibt die Gemeinde Sankt Johann am Wimberg in Oberösterreich laut Sitzungsbeschluß vom 5. Mai 1920 für 50.000 Kronen Gutscheine aus. Diese sind unverzinslich und haftet die Gemeinde mit einer eigenen Deckungsrücklage. Die Einlösung erfolgt vier Wochen nach Bekanntgabe des Einlösungstermines in gesetzlichem Bargelde beim Gemeindeamte St. Johann a. W. St. Johann am Wimberg, am 5. Mai 1920. Der Bürgermeister: Josef Wolferstorfer. Die Nachmachung dieses Scheines wird gesetzlich bestraft. |
