| Obverse description | Plain cream paper Kassenschein (emergency cash voucher) set in blackletter (Fraktur) typeface throughout. The issuer name 'Reichersberg a. J.' appears at the top, flanked on either side by the word 'Heller'; the large numeral '20' is centred between them, with the denomination legend 'Kassen-Schein.' below. A light guilloche underprint of repeating geometric rosette motifs fills the background. Two text blocks in smaller Fraktur script occupy the lower left and right panels, citing the municipal resolution of 24 May 1920, the validity date, and the anti-counterfeiting warning, with the Bürgermeister's name 'Karl Dettl.' printed in bold at the lower right. |

| Reverse description | The entire reverse is occupied by a photographic halftone vignette of the Augustinian Monastery (Stift Reichersberg) as seen from its courtyard, with the distinctive Baroque church tower rising at left and the monastery wings extending to the right amid formal garden plantings. A caption in italic script runs along the lower edge of the vignette. A faint overprint in cursive script is visible across the upper portion of the image. |

Reichersberg is a small market town in Upper Austria, on the Inn River at the German border. This 20 Heller note is a Notgeld issue from 1920, part of the vast municipal emergency currency wave that swept Austria following the collapse of the Habsburg economy — small communities issued their own scrip simply because small-denomination coinage had effectively vanished from circulation.
The Jaksch/Pick reference JPR0828Ia-20 places it within the first series for this municipality. Karl Dettl's signature as authorizing official is the only individual credential the note carries.
