| Obverse description | Dark violet and grey Notgeld note with an elaborate Art Nouveau border of interlocking scrollwork, rosettes, and guilloche ornaments framing the central field. A central oval vignette presents a panoramic view of the spa settlement Heilbad St. Thomas, with buildings set against a wooded hillside, surmounted by a ribbon cartouche inscribed 'Heilbad St. Thomas', while denomination numerals '20' appear in large oval underprint panels at left and right. The issuer heading 'Gutschein der Gem. Pattigham' runs across the top, with an authorisation text at the foot referencing the municipal council resolution of 3 April 1920 and the countersignature of Bürgermeister Jakob Baumann. |
