Obverse description The obverse is printed in brown and green on cream paper, with an ornate Art Nouveau border incorporating scrollwork and edelweiss blossoms at the corners. The central vignette presents a rural Alpine scene with a large haystack or thatched farm structure surrounded by stacked timber, set against a wooded hillside, with smaller oval vignettes at lower left and right framing additional pastoral motifs. The denomination '20' appears in large green numerals at centre below the vignette, flanked by the inscription 'Heller' in decorative blackletter script, with 'Gutschein d. Gemeinde Oberschlierbach O.Ö.' rendered in flowing calligraphic lettering beneath.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in the same brown and green colour scheme, with a matching ornate Art Nouveau border of scrollwork and floral motifs. The denomination '20' in large green numerals appears at upper left and upper right, each accompanied by 'Heller' in blackletter script below. A central vignette depicts a dramatic rocky Alpine cliff face. Two text panels flank the central image: the left panel bears the legal guarantee text of the Gemeinde Oberschlierbach citing the ordinance of 4 May 1920 and the redemption date of 31 December 1920, while the right panel states the conditions for acceptance as legal tender; a Bavarian dialect verse appears in a cartouche at the lower centre, and a manuscript signature of the issuing authority is placed at lower right.
