| Obverse description | A panoramic vignette of the village of Moosdorf occupies the central field, rendered in fine letterpress engraving style with a country road leading toward a church steeple and rural buildings set against a clouded sky. The scene is enclosed within a dotted decorative border with chain-link corners. A scroll banner at the top carries the issuer name in Gothic script, centred with a wreathed denomination numeral, while two sunburst rosettes at lower left and right each bear the denomination figure. |

Moosdorf is a small municipality in Upper Austria, and like hundreds of similarly sized communes, it issued Notgeld during the acute coin shortage that gripped Austria from around 1920. These local emergency notes were printed in enormous variety — often by small regional printers — and the 20 Heller denomination was among the most practical for everyday small transactions when metallic coinage had effectively vanished from circulation.
The Jaksc/Pick reference places this within the standard Austrian Gemeinde Notgeld corpus. Collector demand for these municipal issues has historically been driven more by regional completism than rarity, though genuinely uncirculated examples from small issuers do surface infrequently.
