The main right panel, printed in dark brown on cream paper, carries the issuer heading 'Marktgemeinde Mariazell' in Gothic blackletter at top, followed by the denomination 'Zwanzig Heller' in large ornate script beneath the word 'Gutschein über', a liability clause in German, and three facsimile signature lines for municipal officials. Reverse description The reverse carries a full-width scenic vignette within an ornamental border of interlocking scroll motifs, printed in dark brown on plain cream paper; the central image depicts two figures with skis or poles in a snow-covered alpine landscape overlooking a valley with a church steeple and mountain peaks in the distance. Below the vignette, a German-language text block states the total issue amount and the redemption deadline of 30 September 1920, with the denomination numeral '20' repeated in the lower left and lower right corners outside the inner border.
