Kremsmünster's 20 Heller notgeld was printed by Emil Friegel in nearby Steyr — a common arrangement during the acute coin shortage that swept Austria from 1914 onward, forcing hundreds of small municipalities to commission their own emergency small-change substitutes. Friegel was a regional commercial printer, not a specialist banknote house, which is exactly what you'd expect for a village-level issue of this kind.

The Jaksch/Pick reference places this firmly within the vast Austrian notgeld corpus. Condition varies considerably across surviving examples — Friegel's paper stock was not archival grade.
