Hinterstoder is a small alpine village in Upper Austria — population then, as now, in the hundreds. Its 1920 Heller notes belong to the vast wave of Austrian municipal Notgeld issued when post-war coin shortages left small communities functionally unable to make change. Jos. Feichtingers Erben was a well-established Linz printing house that produced Notgeld for numerous Upper Austrian communes during this period, which means the printing quality here is generally reliable but the design is far from bespoke.
The JPR0377b designation indicates this is a recognized variant within the Hinterstoder series — worth confirming the distinguishing detail against the Jaksch reference before cataloging.
