| Obverse description | The note is divided into two panels: the left panel carries the denomination in bold Fraktur script reading 'Gut-Schein' above a large circular vignette bearing the numeral '20' with 'Heller' below, and a decorative floral sprig at the upper left corner. The right panel presents a finely drawn street scene of Gramastetten's market square, with the parish church tower rising at centre and a night watchman in period costume holding a staff in the foreground. A poem in German verse invoking St. Laurentius fills the right margin alongside the street scene, with an artist's signature at lower centre. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is set within a decorative foliate border printed in blue on cream paper. At the head, the title 'Gutschein der Marktkommune Gramastetten' appears in bold Fraktur lettering, with the denomination '20 Heller 20' displayed within a dotted rectangular frame at centre. A block of text in German Fraktur script sets out the legal basis and redemption conditions of the note, concluding with the anti-counterfeiting warning in bold and the authorising signature line of the market mayor at lower right. |

Gramastetten is a small market town in Upper Austria, and this 20 Heller notgeld was issued in 1920 as part of the broader Austrian small-change emergency that followed the economic dislocation of the First World War. Coin metal had vanished from circulation, and municipalities across Austria-Hungary's successor state were left to paper over the gap — literally — with locally authorized scrip.
The printed date of 30 April 1945 is almost certainly a catalog or documentation date, not a reissue date; the note belongs firmly to the 1920 notgeld wave. Franz Weinbauer's signature as authorizing official is the only administrative trace this particular denomination leaves behind.
