Obverse description Printed in dark blue on white paper, the obverse is framed by an ornate border of foliate and berry motifs with corner medallions. Two local vignettes occupy the upper portion, divided by a central laurel sprig: at left, the Gisela-Warte observation tower amid conifers, captioned 'Gisela-Warte'; at right, a panoramic view of Eidenberg village with its manor buildings on a hillside, captioned 'Eidenberg'. The denomination '20 Heller' appears in bold Gothic script at lower left, with the text 'Gutschein Eidenberg O.Ö.' at centre and the artist's signature 'K. Luftensteiner' at lower right.

Reverse description Printed in dark blue on white paper, the reverse bears a boxed two-line verse at the top in Gothic script: 'Notgeld! Wandre ins Land hinaus / Und komm' nicht mehr zurück nach Haus!' Below, the heading 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Eidenberg.' is set in large Gothic lettering, flanked by two boxed numeral '20' denomination panels. A block of justified German text in Gothic type states the legal authority for the second series issue, dated 11 July 1920, and specifies redemption in lawful currency between 15 and 30 January 1921 by the Gemeinde Eidenberg. The reverse concludes with a counterfeiting warning, the Bürgermeister's signature line reading 'Franz Weixlbaumer', and the printer's imprint 'Druck: B. Langhammer Linz.'
