Obverse description Emergency note (Notgeld) issued by the Municipality of Altenburg, District of Perg, Upper Austria, with the denomination '20 Heller' stated twice in large numerals at left and right. Bilingual text in both Hungarian and German occupies the central field, indicating validity only with the official municipal seal (Gemeindesiegel) until 30 September 1920. The note is of simple letterpress format with no vignette or ornamental underprint.
