Obverse description Woodcut-style panoramic vignette of Salzburg circa 1600, rendered in dark blue-grey ink, with the Hohensalzburg fortress dominating the hilltop centre. Four heraldic shields are arranged in pairs flanking the central view, each accompanied by dates and names of historical prince-archbishops (Wolf Dietrich 1587–1612; Paris Lodron 1619–1654). The denomination "20 Heller" appears in bold Gothic script at upper left and right, while a red ribbon banner across the top bears the inscription "Land Gutschein Salzburg" in Gothic lettering. The artist's signature "Weisenbüchler" is inscribed in red below the lower border.

Reverse description Central vignette in blue-grey and red comprises two heraldic shields surmounted by an ornate processional cross, representing the arms of the Land Salzburg and the city of Salzburg. The entire composition is enclosed within an elaborate red interlaced ribbon border with tassel ornaments at the lower corners. The denomination "20 Heller" appears in Gothic script to the left and right of the arms, and a three-line redemption text in Gothic script occupies the lower centre above three manuscript signatures of the Landes-Hauptleute. The date "im Mai 1920" and the issuer name "Salzburg" are inscribed in the upper corners, with the printer's imprint "Gedruckt bei Zaunrith i. Salzburg" in red along the lower margin.
