| Obverse description | The Czechoslovak double-tailed lion rampant facing left, bearing on its breast a quartered shield incorporating the Slovak cross, occupies the central field. The circular legend REPUBLIKA·ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1938 appears in the lower field below the lion. A small mint or engraver's mark is positioned beneath the date at the very base of the field. The design, modelled by Otakar Španiel, is rendered in a bold, sculptural relief characteristic of interwar Central European coinage. |
