| Obverse description | Blue intaglio print on white cotton paper. The central field carries the large denomination numeral "20" in ornate script on each side, flanked by the date and serial number, with the title "VINGT FRANCS" in bold letterpress above. A seated allegorical female figure at centre-bottom is surrounded by fine guilloche borders, with legal warning text panels in two oval cartouches at left and right; the sheet number and series reference appear at all four corners.
