| Reverse description | The Monegasque arms — a shield bearing the lozengy pattern of argent and gules — displayed prominently at centre beneath a princely crown adorned with a cross pattee. The denomination 20 to the left and FRS to the right flank the shield in large bold numerals and lettering. The motto DEO JUVANTE curves along the lower portion of the field within the beaded border, and the word ESSAI appears in small capitals to the right of the shield, identifying this as a trial strike.
