| Obverse description | Central field features the Seal of Solomon (six-pointed star) rendered in intricate arabesque relief, enclosing the Arabic Hijri date 1347 within a latticed roundel at its centre. The star is surrounded by an elaborate band of interlacing floral and foliate scrollwork in the Moroccan decorative tradition. Arabic legends in flowing thuluth script arc across the lower portion of the field, bearing the royal titulature of Sultan Mohammed V. The upper border carries the Latin legend EMPIRE CHERIFIEN arched along the rim. |
