| Obverse description | Central field features a large interlaced six-pointed star (Seal of Solomon) rendered in traditional Moroccan geometric style, with elaborate arabesque foliate ornaments filling the spaces between its points. At the centre of the star, within an oval cartouche, the Hijri date 1366 is inscribed in Eastern Arabic numerals. Surrounding the central motif, Arabic inscriptions run along the inner border in decorative script, reading the mint and issuer legends. The Latin legend EMPIRE CHERIFIEN curves along the upper rim, separated from the inner design by a toothed border. |
