| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Albert I in left-facing profile, depicted in military uniform with elaborately engraved epaulettes and decorations visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and facial features in the Art Nouveau manner characteristic of Devreese's work. The circular legend reads '· ALBERT · KONING · DER · BELGEN ·' around the upper periphery, with the engraver's initials 'G.D.V.' appearing at lower left. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
