Obverse description Dark green and red intaglio print on white paper. Central vignette of Marianne, the allegorical figure of the French Republic, flanked by anchors at either side. The composition reflects Edmund Dulac's refined illustrative style, with the denomination and issuing authority inscribed around the central design.
