Reverse description Three stylized torches or flaming braziers are depicted in the central field, arranged side by side on a shared base with triangular supports, their flames rising prominently in high relief. The circular legend 'VINGT · FRANCS · AUSTRALE · REGIES ·' runs along the upper periphery. In the lower field, the inscriptions '· TANTALUM ·' and '5TH OZ.' appear on two lines, while the fineness marks '.995' and 'FINE' flank the base of the central design at left and right respectively. The overall composition evokes themes of warmth and human presence in the remote subantarctic territory.
