Obverse description Printed in violet on a pale green and lilac guilloche underprint, the obverse carries the bank title BANQUE DE L'ALGÉRIE across the top with the denomination VINGT FRANCS in large intaglio lettering below. To the right, an intaglio vignette presents the bust of a veiled Algerian woman in traditional dress, while the left side bears a large ornate octagonal guilloche medallion serving as the watermark area. The overprint TUNISIE appears vertically at right, with signature lines for the Caissier Principal and Secrétaire Général, the date, and a legal warning legend at the foot.
